Labour and Employment Law
Labour & employment law concerns everyone. Whether employer or employee, this branch of law regulates everybody’s working life. On the one hand, this field has become highly interesting due to the increasing complexity of regulations and the numbers of legal rulings which rise month by month. On the other hand, it is becoming more and more confusing for those involved.
Labour law is one of our central fields of expertise. We work on both the employer’s and employee’s side, especially regarding employees in upper management. We see labour law issues from different perspectives and can, therefore, better understand the respective other side of the employment contractual relationship and, thus, give better recommendations for causes of action.
We deal with all essential aspects of labour law. We provide support with recruiting, draw up employment contracts, advise on day-to-day questions regarding the processing of employments contracts and create optimal framework conditions when terminating employment contracts. Many of our mandates have to do with the drafting and interpretation of company agreements. The focus is on solving problems without going to court.
On the employer’s side, our focus is on the expansion of existing businesses, business transfers and support with all questions of restructuring and termination of employment relationships. Supporting major restructurings include constructive problem-solving skills, including negotiations with employee representatives, especially works councils.
On the employee’s side, we deal with the assertion of claims from employment contracts, including desertion of compensation for dismissal after unjustified dismissal. A particular focus is representation in termination and dismissal contestation proceedings.
